It's a cocktail dress, and for those who are not familiar with names of dresses (like me), a cocktail dress is a dress worn at cocktail parties, and black tie or semi-formal occasions. The length of a cocktail dress can be as short as above the knee, or long enough to touch the ankle.

However, as we often see in Hollywood, many would opt for short cocktail dresses. I mean, why go for long gowns when you can flaunt your sexy, long legs in shorter attires, right? When invited to parties with dress codes that require us to wear cocktail dresses, sometimes it is tough to find the right dress that fits.It's worse when it's last minute, and you're shopping with a limited budget while hoping that no one else wears the same dress. Now that IS tough!
