Being Positive

This has been bugging me for a few days now. I really can't stand negative people. I knew I was very negative back then, and I hated the world. I thought that everyone around me hates me, and I thought life was very unfair. Little did I know that it's all in the mind.

Now that I've learnt to be more positive in life, I am happier and more content with what I have. I try to avoid negative people, and I try not to let what others say affect me.

Of course, being a little negative is good too, but only if you improve yourself and don't dwell on the negative sides of things for too long. If you think everyone is trying to bring you down or if you think that you will never succeed, you will surely feel down, and it won't help you at all.

If you're the type who'd cry or sulk or hide in your room and skip meals whenever you feel down because of what others say about you, I suggest that you stop it. Nothing good will ever come out of it, and when others don't pay attention to what you're doing, you'll feel even worse.

Why not exercise, sing or swim to battle the negative feelings? You'll feel much better right after, and those activities will surely help you in one way or another, rather than crying yourself to sleep and wake up feeling no difference at all.

It takes a while to learn to be positive, but always count your blessings, and don't wish ill things on others. Karma works, yes we all know that, but it works both ways; it could bite YOU in the ass too. Cheerio!

  1. When I'm feeling down, I eat like there's no tomorrow.. :D

    I've been feeling a bit low lately, PMS I think, but I try my best not to let the whole world know, LOL, I do sometimes, but sometimes, you just need to work through it on your own and eventually, it goes away. :D unless of course it's a symptom of a mental illness, then perhaps a doctor needs to intervene. :P
